the original 50 books + 5 bastards were exhibited at equator books in 2005.
its a library of 55 books that affected me early on. books i chose to read and was forced to read. i painted the covers of the these books, retitling them to reflect both what i took from them at reading and how i think of them now.
in 2007, with all of the original paintings long gone to collectors, equator books published 50 books + 5 bastards. this was supposed to be the end of the painted books.
